Heritage Restoration repairs, conserves, and thoughtfully renews old and historic buildings, from a single window sash to a full structural restoration. Every project starts with understanding why something failed, so the repair lasts and the historic fabric stays intact. Rob Cagnetta founded the company in 2001, and the crew has spent the years since working on National Park Service properties, state historic sites, churches, schoolhouses, and private homes across New England.
Our crew is made up of skilled craftspeople, the majority of them women and non-binary, who care about old buildings as much as the people who live in them.

The Valentine Whitman House
One of the most demanding preservation projects we have taken on. Modern electrical, plumbing, and HVAC went in without sacrificing the historic fabric.

Christ Church Episcopal Steeple, Sharon, CT
We returned a timber frame steeple and its bronze bell to sound condition, and the original moldings are visible again for the first time in decades.

We restored ninety-seven windows on this McKim, Mead, and White home, and the project earned the 2010 Doris Duke Historic Preservation Award.
