There is nothing more green than reusing and sustaining an existing buildings. Nothing is more green than maintaining a building and all of its parts, including doors and windows. Your can make a historic building more energy efficient through simple, cost effective methods that do not require replacment. Adding energy panels, storm windows, selective insulation, preventing air infiltration will save money and energy. Also, maintaining building parts is green, since these parts prevent the need to manufacture, transport and install every few years, or even decades. A one hundred year materials is greener than any 20 year replacment. HRI is active in the field.
